MIAMI - November 1, 2002 - Apollo Ship Chandlers today announced the appointment of Chris Podolsky as Director of Europe USA Travel Inc., Apollo's in house travel agency. Podolsky is an industry veteran with over 17 years of cruise line related experience.  Most recently he served with American Classic Voyages Co., based in New Orleans, LA, first as Senior Director of the company’s Cruise America Travel subsidiary before being promoted to Vice President of Passenger Services.  In his most recent position, he was responsible for the cruise line’s air and sea department as well as the reservations call center and inventory management.  During his tenure with American Classic Voyages Co., Podolsky was integral in upgrading both the technology platform and internal communications of the passenger services group by introducing generally accepted industry principles to the organization.

Prior to joining American Classic Voyages Co. in 1999, Podolsky served as Cruise Line Account Manager for Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., in Fort Lauderdale, FL., responsible for corporate, consolidator and retail sales.  From 1995 to 1997, he supervised and managed air-sea operations for eight ships owned by Renaissance Cruises, inc., of Fort Lauderdale, FL.  He was also with Dolphin Cruise Line/Majesty Cruises in Miami, FL from 1991 until 1993 and with Pearl Cruises/Ocean Cruise Lines in Fort Lauderdale beginning in 1985.  Podolsky also owned and successfully managed his own full-service retail travel agency.

Podolsky completed intensive management training at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, NY, and was educated at Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

In early 2003, Europe USA Travel, Inc. intends to position itself as a major supplier of marine travel services to the industry, and will showcase its services at the 2003 Seatrade Miami in March.
